Game Recap

In what was one of the more exciting games of the season, the boys soccer team let go of a late lead but hold on for a 3-3 draw against West Geauga last night. The Eagles got on the board early when Dawson Schafer scored the first of his two goals on the night. The Wolverines answered back with goals off a corner kick and a well played through ball to earn a 2-1 lead at half. The Eagles came out of half time with high energy and great combination play to tie the game on Luis Rivera’s first goal of the season and eventually take a 3-2 lead. The Wolverines tied the game with 6:31 left in regulation on a bending, 28 yard blast into the upper 90 of the Eagles net. West Geauga (5-1-3 overall, 3-1-1 CVC) holds on to second place in the CVC Chagrin division and with the draw, the Eagles (5-2-2 overall 1-1-2 CVC) remain locked into 4th place. The Eagles will take on Notre Dame Cathedral Latin on Thursday, September 21st, 7pm at SPIRE.
