Game Recap

In a game with numerous mental errors, the Eagles were able to hold on and get a 2-1 victory over the visiting Hilltoppers from Chardon. Dawson Schafer started the scoring with a nifty move to confuse a Chardon defender and put the ball in the back of the net. Junior Jay Santiago scored his first Varsity goal for the Eagles to put them up 2-0. Mental errors and bad judgement put Geneva in a challenging situation when two players received red cards and had to sit the remainder of the game. With just 9 players on the field, Geneva surrendered only one goal to Chardon and walked away with a slim victory. Now 6-3-3 overall, the Eagles will play their neighboring rival Madison on Saturday, 12pm at SPIRE.
